The participants feature is where you manage all speakers and audience members attending a session.
In Digital Samba, there are two primary user roles:
Speaker: someone who can broadcast their audio and video, control all aspects of the meeting, including user moderation, sharing content in a meeting, permissions, etc. In other words, this is a meeting "admin."
Audience: someone who attends the session or webinar but cannot share content—unless they're granted "speaker" permission by another speaker.
Take a look at some actions you can take in the Participants panel:
- Moving an Audience member to Speaker
- Allowing an Audience member to broadcast
- Giving an Audience member access to the whiteboard
- Stop the broadcasts of all others
Note: As of our 5.24 release, admins have the option of enabling a new Custom Role labeled Observers via the Admin Dashboard.
